Our gondolas are fully enclosed. What makes the SkyWheel different from a Ferris wheel? Well, a lot. Our gondolas are fully enclosed AND climate controlled so you don’t have to worry about your safety — or the safety of your loved ones! Just pretend it’s like riding on a train… in the air!

Does your family have a favorite Easter tradition?  If you live near Myrtle Beach, or plan on traveling the weekend of Easter Sunday to the Boardwalk, we couldn’t think of a better way to spend quality family time than to be in a comfortable, climate-controlled gondola overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

We’re open early just for you. Because we know your holiday plans fill up quickly, we’re opening at 6:30 a.m. so you can catch the sun rising over the beach at precisely 7:04 a.m.!  If you’re on this early flight, you’ll experience a SkyWheel sunrise and a great chance to take some family SkyWheel photos you’ll have for a lifetime.

The rest of Easter Sunday can be spent on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Who wouldn’t want to say they spent Easter on the beach?  Right after your flight, the family can grab breakfast at the LandShark Bar & Grill and spend the rest of the day exploring the mile long Boardwalk filled with shows and entertainment.

Two flights are better than one. If no one is ready to go home after sunset, we suggest taking just one more flight. You’ll see a completely different side of Myrtle Beach when you’re flying at night—did we forget to mention you’ll also be a part of our one-million LED light show?

When it comes to visiting Myrtle Beach, we know the first attraction that stands out is our beautiful SkyWheel.  Standing 187-feet tall and equipped with 42 climate-controlled gondolas, the SkyWheel has been a proud symbol of Myrtle Beach since its debut in May 2011.  We can’t help but want to keep one of the most visited and loved attractions along the Boardwalk looking fresh and brand-new—so we’re repainting!

Will the hours of operation change?  Starting Monday, March 4, we will be closed Mondays through Thursdays until Friday, March 22, so we can be back up and flying high as soon as possible!

While we’re closed during the week, make sure to get your flights during our weekend hours:

Fridays:  5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Saturdays:  11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Sundays:  11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

While you’re waiting.
